August is fast approaching and with it comes the third annual Rainier Music Festival. This relatively new musical experience is being hosted at the Ashford County Park Amphitheater in the shadow of Mt. Rainier, offering stunning views of Washington State’s crown jewel. Surrounded by the surreal beauty of our most prolific National Park, an exciting lineup of musicians and variety of delicious local foods will come together to create an unforgettable atmosphere. This week we’ll be shining a light on this special event where attendees of all ages will find something to enjoy. The festival will take place on August 5th, 2023, and tickets are already on sale!

Music

A variety of musical acts will be taking the stage at the new Ashford Amphitheater to perform for the crowd starting at noon on August 5th. The festivities are slated to run throughout the day and come to a crescendo at 10:00 pm. Featuring a wide variety of musical genres, artists from throughout the Pacific Northwest will keep the tunes going throughout the day and into the night. The headlining groups include Linda Carol, Billy Stoops & the Dirt Angels, Monster Road, Brian James, Island Bound, Diego Romero, and finally, Filthy Fifth. Each of these artists have dedicated pages on social media sites including Facebook and Instagram if you’d like to learn a bit more about them before attending the festival.

Refreshments and Goods

What music festival would be complete without an excellent array of food and beverage options to keep the crowd satiated throughout the day? The festival is set to include a cozy beer garden serving up all manner of Pacific Northwest brews. There will be comfortable seating with open space to sit and relax, enjoying the music from afar and taking in the fresh mountain air. Numerous local food carts will be providing a variety of delicious eats to keep you fueled from start to finish. Craft vendor stalls will be located on site offering handmade goods and souvenirs, so you’re sure to find something special to remember your time at the festival! The handmade goods on offer here also make excellent gifts for friends and loved ones, so don’t miss out on your chance to shop around while enjoying the music, refreshments, and warm summer sunshine.

Additional Information

You can purchase tickets ahead of time online for $40, or at the gate on the day of the festival for $45. Children and those under the age of 17 can attend the event for free, making it the perfect getaway for the whole family. There are several quaint lodging locations within walking distance of Ashford County Park, but space will fill up quickly. We’d recommend booking your stay at one of the local lodges as soon as possible to ensure you can stay close to the action. If you’ve been looking for an excellent way to spend the first weekend of August and want to spend some time in the mountains of our great state, there is no more fun to be had than at the Rainier Music Festival!
