Christmas ball and lights on a classical piano keyboard,

December has arrived and along with warmer than normal weather patterns, and holiday entertainment abounds. Whether it’s arts and craft making or Christmas music that lights your month, the Tri-Cities is a wonderful place to live. Music events warm the heart at Christmas time and there is a bountiful line-up to be had this year.

The Gallery at the Park at 89 Lee Blvd in Richland will celebrate the holidays with a Christmas Market on December 3rd. Live music starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Tubadours. Families are welcome to enjoy craft making kits for kids and free hot chocolate. Handmade gifts and beautiful decorations will be the focus of the gallery, but Christmas music will top off the celebration.

HAPO will sponsor the 2021 Tri-City Youth Choir when it presents “A Christmas Wish” at Southridge High School on December 3rd, 4th, and 6th. You can purchase tickets for this musical adventure for $10.00 to $15.00 online at www.yourtcyc.com or at the door. There are no vaccination requirements to attend. The group’s mission statement commits to “bring hope to the community through song and performances created to uplift and inspire”.

Coming up this Saturday, December 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. you can attend a pop-up event, the “Jingle Bel Bash”, at Roscoe’s Coffee at 2003 Logston Blvd. in Richland off Highway 240. Live music by a favorite local duo talent, Tupelo Joe, will perform. There will be a live radio show, coffee roasting tours, a visit by Santa Claus, plus 30+ local vendors.

On December 10th, the Emerald of Siam venue will offer “Christmas Jazz at the Emerald”, music by Three Rivers Saxtette (TRS). This eclectic Thai restaurant in Richland’s Uptown (1314 Jadwin) often showcases local musicians. The performance will run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Because December 10th is a Friday night, patrons will be treated to a buffet of delicious Thai cuisine. This buffet typically offers cashew chicken curry, salad, rice, spring rolls, stir fry vegetables, and other specialties. The best part is it is self-serve and customers can go back for seconds!

December 17th and 18th will bring the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers to the Christmas Spectacular at the Barnard Griffin winery at 878 Tulip Lane in Richland. The event is a includes a 7-course dinner (with wine pairings) that starts at 6:00 p.m. Reservations should be made for this event. Call 509.627.9266 to arrange seating and meal tickets to this event. If a full dinner at a winery isn’t the type of venue you seek, the same Mastersingers group will also perform at the REACH museum on Sunday, December 19th at 4:00 p.m. The REACH Museum is located at 1943 Columbia Park Train in Richland.

The Silos Sports Bar & Grill will offer popular fun on December 18th from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the spirit of Christmas with Dueling Pianos. For an informal environment with food and drink, join the action at 12125 W. Clearwater in Kennewick. Reservations will not be accepted for this event, so come early for the best seats.

Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco enjoy a celebratory mood throughout the holidays. Be sure to plan some time with friends and family in the joy the Christmas season brings.
