With March just around the corner, temperatures are starting to rise, and the weather is clearing up across the northwest. Barring another late “snowpocalypse” scenario, it’s safe to say that Winter is behind us, and Spring is here! Many of us will be venturing out more commonly for the first time in a few months and looking for new and exciting entertainment options in the Tri-Cities. As the weather improves, so too do our spirits, and one local company is making sure we’re covered with a variety of events to help usher in the sunshine.

Karaoke

The Heat Entertainment Group describes their mission as “Adding a little warmth to the Tri-Cities Entertainment scene”, and this March, they’re giving that phrase new meaning. Throughout the month, Heat has organized karaoke, trivia, and musical bingo nights at some of the most popular Tri-Cities breweries and bars (many of which we’ve highlighted in the past here on Windermere Current). For example, you could sing your heart out at the Dugout in Pasco (7111 Burden Blvd) or Richland (99 Lee Blvd) every Thursday night of the month. Friday nights are reserved for the Badger Canyon Dugout (12125 W Clearwater Ave), and Saturday nights for the Southridge Dugout Bar and Grill (4810 Hildebrand Blvd). No matter where in the Tri-Cities you live, Heat has your karaoke nights covered.

Trivia

“But wait, singing on stage isn’t quite my style”, I can hear you saying in your mind. If that’s the case, perhaps you’d prefer working alongside a few friends as a team and competing against other teams in a battle of memory. Trivia is a longstanding bar and brewery tradition, and this March, Heat is cornering the market. It all starts on March 1st at Sam’s Saloon (8378 W Gage Blvd), which will carry on every Wednesday throughout the month. This swanky little pub takes on a new livelihood on trivia nights and is worth visiting even as a spectator. On Saturdays, the trivia party shifts gears and moves to Atomic Ale and Brewery (1015 Lee Blvd). We’ve covered this legendary Richland haunt in the past, and you can read that article here.

Musical Bingo

If you’re anything like me, you hadn’t heard of musical bingo before. The idea is so brilliant that I’m a little upset that I’ve never had the chance to play the game before! The concept is simple, your bingo sheet contains the names of song titles, artists, or albums, depending on the specific game type. A brief segment of a song is played for all players to hear, and they can check off the corresponding song/artist/title if it appears on their sheet. Sounds exciting! Heat Entertainment will be putting on Musical Bingo every Friday night at Rewster’s Craft Bar and Grill in Richland’s Horn Rapids Golf Course (2800 Clubhouse Ln). This relatively new bar has made a name for itself in the Tri-Cities pub scene, and it’s great to see it getting some recognition this March.
