Chocolate lovers rejoice! As January comes to a close and we ease our way into the new year, a deliciously sweet celebratory event waits just around the corner. On February 10-11, the annual Tri-Cities Chocolate Celebration will take place at the Hapo Center at 6600 Burden Boulevard in Pasco. The event shines a light on local and international chocolate makers alike, providing a dazzling array of chocolates to fuel your taste buds. If you’ve got a sweet tooth and a craving for chocolate, this event will provide you with everything you want and more.

The main event during the Chocolate Celebration is, well, the chocolate. Chefs from around the Pacific Northwest gather to craft their finest chocolatey infusions in a competition to find the best ‘sweets chef” in the region. While the competition is fierce, the atmosphere of the celebration is relaxing and vibrant. From truffles to stuffed bites, the variety of desserts on display is enough to entice hunger in nearly anyone.

What kind of chocolate festival would be complete without live musical performances? At the Chocolate Celebration, you can expect to have your ears treated to numerous local musicians including headliner Eclectic Approach. Find yourself a variety of chocolates and a place to settle in and enjoy the tunes, and you’re sure to leave with an unforgettable experience under your belt. There will be a live competition between several local chefs to see who can craft the “ultimate chocolate dish,” and a First Responder competition for the best “one handed cake frost.”

The Hapo Center is located at 6600 Burden Boulevard in Pasco. Admission is $25.00 per adult and includes a complimentary glass of champagne for guests 21 and over. If this isn’t enough to tempt you into attending the festival, note that there will also be a Candyland-themed “interactive kid zone” with plenty of games and activities to keep your young ones busy. The entirety of the event is designed around bringing community together, and that means offering entertainment options for those under the age of 21.

Whether you’re looking for something to occupy your time this February or simply a fan of chocolate, the Chocolate Celebration has something to offer for everyone. With entertainment options for youth and a score of activities for adults, there is something for every age group to enjoy. If this event sounds like something you’d enjoy, be sure to take your friends and/or family to the Tri-Cities Chocolate Celebration.
