There are many establishments in the Tri-Cities that provide venues for customers to enjoy music. One that offers fun for a diverse crowd, the Emerald of Siam, is located at 1314 Jadwin in Richland. For information on the events discussed below, you can call the business at 509.946.9328 or contact their staff at [email protected]. The Emerald’s Thai cuisine is some of the best in the Tri-Cities, making an evening of music, along with an excellent meal, enjoyable for all.

During January, several events will take place at the Emerald of Siam. Starting on January 1st, there will be an open mic at 7:00 p.m. The owners welcome all ages and support all genres of music and acts. Each Monday night at the same time, locals can share their vocal talents, read poetry, present comedy, or perform the music they want to showcase. Emerald’s Facebook page notes that “one of the highlights [last year] was a radical band of 12-year-olds.” What a fabulous way to share local talent! The stage provides house drums, keys, and the PA system.

On the 11th of January, the ambient instrumental music of The Sonic Shaman, Dan Myers, will perform at 5:00 p.m. Myers is a frequent guest performer, often playing on Friday evenings, a time when a fabulous, all-you-can-eat buffet can be enjoyed along with the mesmerizing music. This is a free event that offers unique sounds as the artist plays aboriginal wind instruments, along with guitar and percussion. Like Myers, an artist who appeals to more mature audiences, the jazz of Mary Lou and Stevie Show can be enjoyed at 5:30 on January 13th. Like Friday, there will be a buffet offered on Saturday night. Mary Lou sings beautifully, while Stevie supports her melodies on the keys.

Acoustic Night with Lauren Wanamaker will be on January 16th at 6:00 p.m. Like Dan Myers and Mary Lou and Stevie, there is no charge to enjoy Wanamaker’s voice and talented guitar playing. On January 20th, at 5:00 p.m. customers can enjoy another acoustical evening of music with Calico Bones. On January 30th at 6:00 p.m. Acoustic Night will feature Mike Edmonson. If the sounds of acoustic guitar create peace through music for you, plan to spend an evening at the Emerald of Siam with one of these local talents.

On January 27th, from 9:00 p.m. to midnight, Mercury Rising will perform. They play rock music from the 70’s and 80’s in the style of Van Halen and Aerosmith. Tickets start at $10.00 and can be purchased at Food is always a “win” at the Emerald of Siam and a late-night menu will be available throughout the show.

Almost every night of the week the Emerald of Siam support the local music scene by offering a venue to showcase talent and offer entertainment for our community. The business which is owned and operated by second-generation owners will guarantee an eclectic line-up of music and authentic Thai cuisine for Tri-Citians to enjoy!
