Background

The Suncadia Resort’s construction began in 2003 when the infrastructure of roads and a golf course began. Suncadia consists of a 6,400-acre, master-planned resort in Kittitas Country. As of today, there are three golf courses that mingle among the 1,000+ residential properties, but for the tourist, the main draw is a luxurious lodge with a gorgeous fireplace in the lobby.

Accommodations

Even in this time of COVID, Suncadia Resort is open. The Lodge at Suncadia Resort offers four-star accommodations and three restaurants (only one is open at this time), along with a conference center. The premise has 254 guestrooms with refrigerators, LCD televisions, and free wifi. Portals restaurant (open now) offers flavorful dining inspired by local cuisine. It offers a lounge with an expansive outdoor patio where you can enjoy bar drinks and view the vast mountains and colors of the sunset.

Starting your mornings, you may want to enjoy the health club and gym, followed by the popular spa services offered at Suncadia. You can get massages and body treatments, relax in the sauna room, or dip in the Jacuzzi spa tub. During the winter days, a swim in the indoor heated pool might top off the day. There is limited capacity at the swimming pool that serves visitors on a first come first serve basis, but no reservations are needed. Suncadia also boasts an ice-skating rink! Of course, snow shoeing and other winter activities abound and staff in the lobby can help with tickets for local tours of the region.

Summer Activities

In the warmer months, the property has tennis courts and there are bicycle rents on site. There’s a system of trails through the trees and across the flats for hiking and biking. On hot summer days, a swim in the outdoor pool will offer plenty of sunshine! There is also a kid pool and for a fee you can have supervised childcare and activities for you little ones.
