As 2022 comes to a close, we are left to reflect on a year of progress and resilience. The COVID-19 pandemic that brought the world to a halt has begun to fade into what will hopefully become a distant memory. Whether you’ve lived in the area your entire life, or this is your first time bringing in the new year in the Tri-Cities, there are several venues around town that offer an exciting place to celebrate as the calendar switches over to 2023. This year, we thought we’d shine a light on one of our favorite local hotspots that’s sure to carry the party into the early hours of January 1, 2023.
The Pub | 7001 W Clearwater Ave, Kennewick, WA 99336
The Pub has been a mainstay of Tri-Cities bars since its doors opened to the public for the first time. Located on Clearwater Ave in West Kennewick, the Pub is easily accessible and has made a name for itself as one of the area’s best locales for celebrations and events. The bar has a vast and sprawling interior, allowing for around 100 occupants to comfortably find seating. The bar here serves up everything you would expect from a popular neighborhood pub: local beers and ales, wines from the Columbia Valley, and signature cocktails crafted by the friendly and skilled bartenders.
If you’re craving some substance in your belly, the Pub also offers a variety of classic bar fare for honest prices, sure to fill your belly before you walk out the doors. Make sure to show up early if you plan to attend the Pub on New Year’s, however. Though the bar has seemingly limitless space inside, it has become an increasingly popular destination in recent years, and the venue fills up to capacity very quickly. There will be live music and entertainment occurring throughout the night, leading the celebratory charge for all who choose to attend.
Whether you’ve never set foot in the Pub or the staff knows you by name, the New Year’s Eve celebration offers something for everyone to enjoy. It is the perfect location for groups or individuals, but remember that you’ll have to secure enough space for your party, or else risk being relegated to the outdoor patio (which is usually rather cold this time of year). Regardless of where you do sit however, you’re sure to start 2023 off right with a night at the Pub.
