The restaurant scene in Richland, Washington has made impressive strides in both quality and variety over the past few years. With an influx of new eateries and breweries, we find ourselves in the midst of a gastronomic renaissance of sorts. Among the best ways to experience a new restaurant is to test out the happy hour, as they typically offer the most popular dishes for a reduced price. This creates the perfect environment to gather with friends, family, or coworkers, order a veritable feast, and blow off some steam over a drink or two. Being a self-proclaimed expert on food and drink, I’ve compiled a list of three must-try restaurants in Richland, all of which offer spectacular happy hour deals. You (and your wallet) will thank me!

Bonefish Grill | 133 W Gage Blvd | 4:00 – 6:30 PM

A well-known seafood restaurant with an Asian fusion twist, Bonefish Grill offers an exceptional happy hour menu. The quiet, relaxing atmosphere makes the grill an excellent choice for every occasion, from date night to family gatherings. Specifically, the Caesar salad is one of the best in the Tri-Cities at only $4.00. With other dishes ranging from the local-favorite “bang-bang shrimp” to Kobe beef sliders, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Dovetail Joint | 1368 Jadwin Ave | 3:30 – 5:30 PM

A former food truck and “mobile kitchen,” Dovetail Joint is a brick & mortar newcomer to the local food scene, delivering some of the most unique and delicious cuisine in the Tri-City area. Already a hotspot, the restaurant focuses on small, sharable plates that can be ordered three or four at a time, making it idyllic for group gatherings. This communal atmosphere is the bread and butter of the Dovetail Joint, which places an emphasis on using locally-sourced ingredients, including refreshments from nearby wineries and breweries. Also, the smoky gumbo with rice is phenomenal.

The Bradley | 404 Bradley Blvd #106 | 3:00 – 6:00 PM

Situated near the riverfront, the Bradley is making a name for itself as one of the best bites in the city. The lounge-style eatery has a hip, modern vibe, a full bar serving a number of unique cocktails, cozy outdoor seating (featuring an insulated plastic geo-dome for the winter months), and an eclectic menu featuring everything from German pork schnitzel to braised short rib tacos. Making a point of supporting local farms and breweries, the Bradley is earning its spot as a Richland favorite.

Bonefish, Dovetail, and the Bradley are three of the best happy hour locations in Richland, each offering an entirely unique experience – save for the ease on the wallet. As our community continues to grow, so too will its culinary range, providing us opportunities to experience new foods and cultures. It has never been a better time to be a food lover in the Tri-Cities! We can only hope that this trend will continue as we head into 2020 and beyond.
