Windermere One of Richland enjoys a special relationship with the community and proudly sponsors many events throughout the year to enrich the lives of our children. This Halloween season they will offer the 3rd annual Trunk-R-Treat and Haunted House at their offices at 490 Bradley Blvd in Richland on October 28th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is a free event for all ages!

If you’ve not enjoyed a trunk-r-treat activity before, you will want to bring your children to this event! There will be approximately 20 vehicles that will each present a different theme. The trunks of the vehicles will be open, and treats will be ready to hand out! Many local companies will be on hand to share in giving to our community. Let your children dress in their Halloween finest and come trunk-or-treating with Windermere One!

There are separate floors in the haunted house. One level is for the “littles” and is fun, but not scary. Then, of course, for the older kids and overgrown kids, there’s a haunted house meant to cause a jump here and there! The theme about our nuclear history is a continuation from years past. Last year, civilians were trapped behind the portal in the haunted house and this year they need new “victims” to help rescue the missing guests from last October’s activities!

New to the event this year is the Homebrewed Coffee Cart, sponsored by Hometown Lenders. Stop by the cart and ask for a coffee or hot cocoa, bundle up, and enjoy the taste of a warm drink on a crispy night at Bradley Blvd. There is no charge for these delicious drinks so be sure to claim your drink while supplies last!

Many local businesses look forward to participating and freely giving of their time to make this a special event for kids in our community. Like many other Richland businesses, Anthony’s at Columbia Point’s general manager, Ms. Bell, explained that she wasn’t personally able to hand out treats last year and was looking forward to being at the event this year. And this year, your goblins can expect a big showing with trunks full of treats!

If you can’t make it to Windermere’s event on October 28th, there are several Trunk-or-Treat opportunities listed on Happening Next at www.happeningnext.com. Maybe you have so much fun on the 28th at Bradley Blvd that you decide to add one more to the calendar. On October 30th, Pacific Pasta & Grill is staging a Trunk-or-Treat. On Halloween night, WSU Tri-Cities is sure to be a pleaser with a Trunk-or-Treat event and drive-in movie…The Addams Family! Enjoy the festivities and the family-friendly events provided by Windermere One and other community leaders who strive to make the Tri-Cities a wonderful place to raise kids!
