Even though the Tri-City spring weather has been less than cooperative this year, you can look forward to 2022’s line-up of events just as the sun seems ready to shine. Live At 5 is has its opening night on June 2nd, 2022. For those of you unfamiliar with this series of event, Live At 5 is held each Thursday evening at John Dam Plaza, a park with an amphitheater (HAPO Community Stage), in the central part of Richland. The series of events for 2022 will not disappoint!

This is year 18 for the Tri-Cities to enjoy this venue. Attendance is free and you will be treated to a variety of food trucks, pop-up information and entertainment booths, and of course the popular beer garden, which will be hosted by the Branding Iron Nightclub. While the beer garden is roped off and only those over 21 are allowed entrance, the vibe of these events if family friendly. Bring your family, your friends, your lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy a different concert each Thursday at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. between June 2nd and July 28th.

Starting off with an energetic band on June 2nd, Voo Doo Alley will get you up off the grass and inspire your feet to dance, dance, dance. The lively band plays sets that offer a variety of classic rock with beats that will grab your attention. June 9th with bring Queen’s Gate to the stage to share their popular classic rock. One of Richland’s most popular local bands, Groove Principal will ignite the state on June 16th. The Stoney Lonesome Band performs on June 23rd and on June 30th, you can enjoy Badlandz & Coaster. Opening the month of July at John Dam Plaza will be Fat Fox on July 7th, followed by Black Rose Concept on July 14th. The last two bands to share their talents will be Torn Veil on July 21st and The Knockdowns will end the summer series on July 28th, just in time for the Art in the Park and the hydroplane races!

Last year, despite the significant planning that it takes to pull off a free concert summer series for the Tri-City residents, COVID and the dense smoke-filled air delayed some of the fun. This is a new year, and we hope you are ready for fun at John Dam Plaza and the HAPO Community Stage because they are ready for you!
