Our Cookie House, Tri-Cities, WA

To the Cookie Monsters out there…a new options has arrived, and another is coming to Richland in the next few months. All of us who go on the search for large, calorie-laden delights in the round form know that some of the best store-bought cookies can be found at Yoke’s, and custom cookies at Desserts by Kelly, but this specialty item can now be found across from Costco at 8530 W. Gage Blvd. at Our Cookie House!

Plan Ahead

After two drives to the location to buy cookies and realizing that the hours of open operation are few, I made my initial visit on a Saturday morning. The Our Cookie House is open on Fridays and Saturdays, between 11:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M., so you’ll need to plan ahead for special events that might happen during the work week. The Cookie house also makes it easy to order your cookies for pick-up at www.ourcookiehouse.com for the weekend. You can also call to have your order prepared at 509-579-0520. If your car has a mind of its own and turns into the parking lot of Our Cookie House, you can walk in without pre-ordering and see if you have the discipline to walk out with less than four cookies!

Variety

The standard menu offers a variety of 12 scrumptious cookies, but on social media you can find additional limited flavors. The standard fare is enough for any cookie connoisseur: the soft, classic Chocolate Chip, the CC Nutella, the Cinnamon Roll, The Birthday Cake (white chocolate chips, stuff with sour cream frosting and covered with a rainbow of sprinkles and a circus animal), the Cookie Butter, the Triple Chocolate, The Chocolate PB, the S’mores, the Cookies & Cream, the traditional Snickerdoodle, the Chocolate Mint, and the hefty Macadamia Nut! Wow!

Scope

The cookies are large—the Snickerdoodle I bought measured 6” across! The cookies sell for $4.00 each, without different pricing for different varieties. There is a discount if you order nine dozen or more.  Your cookies will come boxed with direction on how to warm them up in ovens or microwaves for that warm, grandma just baked cookies kind of experience. Overall, this new specialty shop deserves a 10 out of 10 for providing the Tri-Cities with a choice for excellent cookies!

Finally

On its way to the Tri-Cities is the soon-to-open Cookie Crumbles in the strip mall located by Target on Queensgate in Richland. The storefront is coming along, and, in a few months, another mouth-watering bastion of cookie heaven will be ready.  For now, you can view the unique offerings at crumblcookies.com. One of the most unique experiences will be the Cornbread cookie, served warm and topped with a honey butter glaze and a dollop of honey buttercream. Also worth a try will be the Chilled Cookies & Cream Milkshake cookie! Yum! Check out the website for more information, hours, and prices.
