COVID-19 couldn’t stop the communities in our area from getting creative and flexing their imaginations to provide some fun for everyone this Halloween season. Here’s a snapshot of what’s going on this year:

HERMISTON

TREATS ON MAIN – Held this year at the Hermiston Community Center, businesses will be stationed in the parking lot along a snake-like route. Simply prop your trunk open, place your bags in the back, and candy will be dropped in as you drive by. No registration is required and dressing up is highly encouraged!

October 31, 2020, beginning at 4 PM.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST – Decorate your own pumpkin and enter it for a chance to win one of the grand prizes! Pumpkins that are entered in the contest will also be on display during Treats on Main. To be eligible, make sure your pumpkin is dropped off at the Hermiston Community Center before October 30.

PENDLETON

2ND ANNUAL HERITAGE HAUNT – The Heritage Station Museum will be conducting a drive-thru Halloween event with characters dressed up and themed scenes throughout the parking lot. Come dressed in costume and receive a goodie bag at the end of the route!

October 31, 2020, beginning at 3 PM.

HALLOWEEN DRIVE-IN MOVIE – Pendleton Parks & Recreation will be hosting a showing of the classic Halloween movie, “Hocus Pocus,” at the Pendleton Convention Center. Make sure to wear your favorite costume and enjoy the movie beginning at dusk. Registration is required as there is limited space, but it includes door prizes, concessions, and candy!

October 31, 2020, beginning at 5:30 PM.

BOARDMAN

BOARDMAN COMMUNITY DRIVE-THRU TRICK OR TREAT – The Boardman Chamber of Commerce will be holding their Halloween festivities in the SAGE Center parking lot with a drive-thru trick or treat! At the end of line, there will be a photo booth to take a selfie with your family. Make sure to RSVP so enough treats can be collected to hand out to everyone.

October 31, 2020, beginning at 4 PM.

UMATILLA

TRUNK OR TREAT – Java Junkies and The Bridge Brew and Bistro are teaming up this year to present their inaugural Trunk or Treat in Umatilla! Join in on the fun at the Java Junkies parking lot in costume and walk along the route visiting each business’ booth.

October 30, 2020, beginning at 4 PM.

ECHO

ECHO CORN MAZE & PUMPKIN PATCH – If you haven’t made it out to the Echo Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch, make sure you do so before they close for the season on October 31! Up for something scary? Each weekend in October beginning on the 17th, test your bravery through the Field of Screams. Admission to the haunted corn maze is $12 and includes admission to all other mazes as well. Scaring begins at 7 PM.
