As the year comes to a close and with 2022 fast approaching, we thought it would be a good time to take a look back at some of our favorite articles from the past 12 months. We’ve covered a lot of ground in the last year, so saddle up and prepare to relive or discover some of the most notable articles in our recent catalogue (in order of publication date).

January – Cookies Please

Kicking off the year of 2021 we took an in depth look at some of the cookie delicatessens around the Tri-City area. If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth in the new year, this one is worth a revisit.

February – Top 5 Tri-Cities Restaurants

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, we highlighted five excellent restaurants right here in our own back yards. Some of these restaurants were rather new at the time and have already cemented themselves as Tri-City staples.

March & April – Wallowa Hikes

As we entered the springtime, we began covering more outdoor activities to enjoy while the weather was warming up. This article looked at some of the stunning hikes around Wallowa Lake, Oregon, and what to expect while taking a trip there.

May – Water Parks

With an intense wave of record-breaking heat coming onto the scene, we came to the rescue with this article covering several of the region’s most well-known water parks. When next May rolls around, this one will remain a useful tool to find the nearest watering hole.

June – Richland Alphabet Houses

In this article we detailed the ‘alphabet houses’ that make up a large part of Richland’s character and history. If you’ve spent any amount of time in the city, you’ve surely noticed them (if not lived in one).

July – Silverwood Theme Park

August & September – Middleton’s Fall Festival 2021

Covering this event has become something of an annual event for us. The Middletons put on an amazing event that evolves from year to year, and there is so much fun to be had for solo visitors and family-sized groups as well. Don’t skip out on the pumpkin patch!

October – Halloween 2021

This year we detailed where and how to get the goods that will ensure you have the best Halloween possible. Prepare for things to get a little spooky!

November – Climate of the Tri-Cities

With winter temperatures coming back to the Tri-Cities, we seized the opportunity to talk about the climate that makes our region so unique. If you’ve ever found yourself wondering why Eastern Washington is essentially a desert environment, this article contains your answer!

In Retrospect

We do our best to cover a wide variety of topics related to our region throughout the year and have an absolute blast doing it! We’ll be providing these retrospective capstones at the end of December going forward as a way to reflect on some of our favorite articles from the outgoing year.
